Levamisole Hydrochloride
Composition
Syrup: Each ml contains Levamisole Hydrochloride BP 10 mg.
Description
Neotrax Vet stimulates nematode ganglia, inducing neuromuscular paralysis in the parasites. Once paralyzed, the parasites are subsequently expelled from the body.

Interaction
With medicine: It can be used safely with other drugs. With food & others: None reported.
Contraindications
Levamisole is contraindicated in lactating animals (not approved). It should be used cautiously, if at all, in animals that are severely debilitated or have significant renal or hepatic impairment.
Side Effects
Common side effects: Adverse effects can be seen in cattle and can include muzzle foaming or hypersalivation, excitement or trembling, lip licking, and head shaking. Rare side effects: In sheep, levamisole may cause transient excitability in some animals after dosing. In goats, levamisole may cause depression, hyperesthesia, and salivation.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Levamisole is considered relatively safe to use in pregnant large animals; use only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. However, the risks and necessity should be considered.
Precautions & Warnings
While Neotrax Vet is given with water, no fresh water is allowed until the medicated water is finished.
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 28 days and Milk: 0 days must not be consumed after administration.
