Elcaris-Vet®
PowderComposition
Each gm contains Levamisole HCL BP 300 mg equivalent to 254.2 mg of Levamisole.
Description
Elcaris-Vet contains Levamisole HCl, which acts by interfering with the carbohydrate metabolism of nematodes through the inhibition of succinate dehydrogenase production. The inhibition of this enzyme causes complete and irreversible muscular paralysis of the worm. Recently, levamisole hydrochloride has drawn significant attention for its immunomodulatory properties. This drug corrects immunologic imbalance by modifying the activities of T lymphocytes and phagocytes, providing the greatest benefit to immunologically depressed animals and birds. The tissue concentration of levamisole persists for five days.
