Injection: Each ml contains Ketoprofen BP 100 mg.
Bolus: Each bolus contains Ketoprofen BP 400 mg.
Description
Keto-A Vet is a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exerts anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. It inhibits the synthesis of inflammatory mediators, such as prostaglandins, thromboxanes, and oxygen radicals, by interfering with the cyclooxygenase enzyme. It reduces fever by depressing the heat-regulatory centers in the hypothalamus.

Interaction
Concurrent administration with nephrotoxic drugs should be avoided.
Contraindications
Do not administer to cattle or horses hypersensitive to ketoprofen. Do not administer other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) concurrently or within 24 hours of each other. Contraindicated in animals suffering from cardiac, hepatic, or renal disease, gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding, and where there is evidence of a blood dyscrasia.
Side Effects
Like all NSAIDs, gastric or renal intolerance may occur in certain individuals.
Precautions & Warnings
Administration in animals aged less than 6 weeks or in aged animals may involve additional risk. In such cases, if treatment is needed, it may require a reduced dosage and careful management. Avoid use in any dehydrated, hypovolaemic or hypotensive animals as there is a potential risk of increased renal toxicity.
Storage Conditions
Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 4 days and Milk: 0 days must not be consumed after administration.
