Tolfenamic Acid
Composition
Each ml of injectable solution contains Tolfenamic Acid BP 40 mg.
Indications
Cattle:
Tofenac-Vet is indicated as an anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic agent.
The formulation serves as an adjunct in the treatment of acute mastitis when used in conjunction with antibacterial therapy.
It is additionally used as an aid in the control of acute inflammation associated with bacterial respiratory disease.
Dosage & Administration
Route of Administration: IM, IV, or SC injection (repeat IM/SC every 48 hours; IV every 24 hours; second injection on opposite side).
Cattle: 1 ml/20 kg body weight.
Or as directed by a registered Veterinary Doctor.
Contraindications
Do not use in animal shows hypersensitivity to Tolfenamic Acid.
Side Effects
Transient swelling could occur at the site of injection.
Pregnancy & Lactation
The product should not be used during pregnancy.
Storage Conditions
Protect from direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 12 days and Milk: 0 days must not be consumed after administration.
