Sulphadiazine + Trimethoprim

Composition

Each ml suspension contains Sulphadiazine BP 400 mg and Trimethoprim BP 80 mg.

Indications

Poultry:

Sulprim-Vet is indicated for respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, and reproductive infections.
The formulation is used for the treatment and prevention of various infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, and Mycoplasma.
It effectively targets conditions such as colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pullorum disease, fowl typhoid, pasteurellosis, fowl cholera, gastroenteritis, chronic respiratory disease (CRD), and secondary infections of viral diseases.
It is additionally used when other antibiotic and chemotherapeutic agents are not effective due to the development of resistance.

Dosage & Administration

Route of Administration: Orally via drinking water.

As the first dose, mix the required quantity with a small amount of water to ensure easy dissolution, then mix thoroughly into the total daily volume of drinking water.

Poultry (Treatment): 1 ml of suspension per 5 L of drinking water daily for 4–6 days.

Poultry (Prevention): 1 ml of suspension per 10 L of drinking water daily for 2–3 days.

Or as directed by a registered veterinary physician.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to the active ingredients.

Side Effects

At the recommended dose, side effects are rare and mild.

Precautions & Warnings

Shake the bottle before use. To be dispensed only by or on the prescription of a registered veterinary doctor.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.

Withdrawal Period

Poultry: must not be consumed for 5 days after administration.
