Antimony Potassium Tartrate + Ferrous Sulfate

Composition

Each bolus contains Antimony Potassium Tartrate USP 2 g and Ferrous Sulfate USP 2 g.

Description

Rumigest vet combines antimony potassium tartrate and ferrous sulfate to enhance rumen motility. The inclusion of ferrous sulfate provides iron, which combines with porphyrin and globin chains to form hemoglobin, a molecule critical for oxygen delivery from the lungs to peripheral tissues.

Indications

Livestock:

Rumigest vet is indicated for the treatment of ruminal stasis and ruminal hypomotility.
The formulation also provides effective management for acute impaction of the rumen.
It is additionally used for addressing conditions associated with anemia.

Dosage & Administration

Route of Administration: Oral for ruminants only.

Cattle & Buffalo: 2–4 boli/day for 2–4 days.
Sheep & Goat: ½–1 bolus/day for 2–4 days.

Or as directed by the Registered Veterinary physician.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Ferrous Sulfate/ Antimony Potassium Tartrate.

Pregnancy & Lactation

The use of Sodium Bicarbonate during pregnancy and lactation has not been established.

Precautions & Warnings

Ferrous sulphate is considered contraindicated in patients with hemochromatosis, hemolytic anemias, or known hypersensitivity to any components of the products.

Store below 30°C in a dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
