Amprolium + Sulfaquinoxaline + Vitamin K

Composition

Each g powder contains Amprolium USP 102 mg, Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium 102 mg and Vitamin K USP 1 mg.

Description

Cocci-Off Vet contains amprolium, a thiamine antagonist that inhibits thiamine uptake by coccidia. It acts primarily upon the first-generation schizont in the cells of the intestinal wall, preventing the differentiation of merozoites. The formulation also includes sulfaquinoxaline, which inhibits the synthesis of folic acid and para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) in both coccidia and bacteria. Additionally, vitamin K provides antihemorrhagic activity. Plasma clotting factors VII, IX, and X depend on vitamin K3 for synthesis. These blood clotting proteins are synthesized in the liver in inactive forms and are subsequently converted to biologically active forms by vitamin K3.
