Each ml solution contains Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate BP equivalent to Zinc 6 mg.

Description

The physiological importance of zinc is fundamentally tied to animal productivity and the prevention of deficiency states. As an essential cofactor, zinc sulfate serves as a structural and catalytic component of numerous vital metalloenzymes, including carbonic anhydrase, alcohol dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase, and DNA and RNA polymerases. Through the activation of these enzymatic pathways, Zifluvet plays a critical role in the systemic metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids.

Indications

Poultry:

Zifluvet is indicated for poor growth, reduced egg production and hatchability, diarrhea, poor feathering, and hyperkeratosis.

Livestock:

Zifluvet is indicated for inappetance, diarrhea, poor growth, alopecia, dermatitis, delayed wound healing, parakeratosis, hyperkeratosis, malformed hooves, impaired reproduction, immunologic dysfunction, and reduced production.

Dosage & Administration

Route of Administration: Oral via drinking water or body weight dosing once daily for 5–7 consecutive days.

Poultry: Prevention: 1 ml per 2 L drinking water; Treatment: 1 ml/L drinking water.

Calf, Sheep & Goat: Prevention: 8–10 ml daily (1 mg/kg); Treatment: 16–20 ml daily (2 mg/kg).

Cattle & Buffalo: Prevention: 17–34 ml daily (2 mg/kg); Treatment: 34–68 ml daily (4 mg/kg).
