Description
The accumulation of mucus in the alveolar spaces and air passages obstructs gas exchange, leading to severe discomfort and a reduced rate and depth of breathing. The genetic makeup, however, will not allow the birds to slow their metabolic rate accordingly. High-energy diets also continue to demand more oxygen for energy derivation, producing carbon dioxide, the excretion of which cannot match the accumulation.
Due to these factors, the balance of the above reaction is upset, resulting in respiratory acidosis. This may lead to greater respiratory distress, discomfort, drowsiness, poor resistance, low productivity, and poor performance. Respiron supports the host system and restores its balance, which is critical to improving this condition.
