Politrim Vet
BolusComposition
Each bolus contains Sulfamethoxazole BP 1000 mg and Trimethoprim BP 200 mg.
Description
Politrim Vet contains a combination of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim, which exhibits a synergistic antimicrobial effect. Sulfamethoxazole is a broad-spectrum sulfonamide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis by blocking the dihydrofolate synthetase enzyme. Trimethoprim complements this activity by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis through the blockade of the dihydrofolate reductase enzyme.
