Each bolus contains Furosemide BP 2 g.
Description
EDECURE VET contains furosemide, which increases urine volume by inhibiting renal sodium reabsorption processes, thereby promoting diuresis and the elimination of excess body water.
Indications

Dosage & Administration
As directed by the registered veterinarian or nutritionist.
Interaction
With medicine: When administered concomitantly with. Glucocorticoids may cause hypokalemia. Concomitantly with. Aminoglycosides may increase risk for ototoxicity NSAIDs may reduce saluretic and diuretic effects of. Furosemide. No interaction known with feed or food.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in animals with anuria, hypersensitivity, or seriously depleted electrolytes.
Side Effects
Common side effects: Increased urination, alkalosis, uric acid retention, and may rarely produce acute gout, hyperglycaemia, and glycosuria. Rare side effects: diarrhoea or constipation, weakness, collapse, head tilt, balance problems, electrolyte imbalance, lack of urine production, or a racing heart rate. Fluid and electrolyte abnormalities, especially hyponatremia, may occur. Others include ototoxicity, GI distress, hematologic effects, weakness, and restlessness.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Can be used in pregnant and lactating animals. However, risk and necessity should be considered during administration in pregnant and lactating animals.
Precautions & Warnings
Do not mix with other medicines. Animals with pre-existing electrolyte or water balance abnormalities or impaired hepatic function.
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 2 days, Milk: 2 days, and Egg: duration not established.
