InjectionComposition
Each ml injectable solution contains Diminazene Aceturate INN 70 mg and Phenazone BP 375 mg.
Indications
Cattle, Sheep and Horses:
Dosage & Administration
Route of Administration: Deep IM injection at multiple sites (maximum 56 ml per animal at a time).
Or as directed by a registered veterinary physician.
Interaction
Very few studies have been done regarding this issue, and no remarkable interaction has been found with commonly used drugs.
Contraindications
The injection should not be used in animals hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
Side Effects
Transient local reactions may appear at the injection site. Dogs and camels are very sensitive to diminazene toxicity. Overdoses or multiple doses may cause severe nervous disturbances and hepatotoxic reactions. It is advised to use lower dosage rates in these species.
Pregnancy & Lactation
No adverse effect has been reported at the recommended dose.
Precautions & Warnings
Where the volume to be injected exceeds 20ml, administer into two injection sites.
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 21 days after the last treatment; Milk: 3 days after the last administration.
