Each ml contains Pheniramine Maleate BP 22.75 mg.
Description
Asta-Vet functions as an H1 receptor antagonist by blocking the binding of histamine to its receptors on bronchi, nerves, and vascular smooth muscle, thereby inhibiting receptor activation and the resulting allergic manifestations. Additionally, the drug exerts central antimuscarinic activity.

Dosage & Administration
Route of Administration: IM or IV injection.
Or as directed by registered veterinary physician.
Interaction
With medicine: Pheniramine maleate should be used with caution when given with anticoagulants or central nervous system depressants. No interaction known with feed or food.
Contraindications
Pheniramine Maleate is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to it.
Side Effects
Common side effects: The most common side effect is sleepiness. Anticholinergic effects (dry mouth, urinary retention), diarrhoea, vomiting, lack of appetite, etc. may occur in some cases. Rare side effects: Anaphylaxis, seizures, tachycardia.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Use in pregnancy has not been determined. However, risk and necessity should be considered during administration in pregnant and lactating animals.
Precautions & Warnings
Pheniramine Maleate should be used with caution in animals with high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, heart disease, or at risk for urinary obstruction.
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 7 days and Milk: 2 days must not be consumed after administration.
